Instead, it felt like my neck was straining to keep my head attached. I felt like a taut wire connected my lower back up over my shoulder, through my neck, and into the back of my eyeballs. Even something as simple as swallowing pulled the tension so it triggered pain in my shoulders and back. It has been difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep.
Thankfully, the pain has largely dissipated; all that is left is a shadowy feeling from where the tension used to be. It's still a bit uncomfortable, but it's clearly going away. I guess the past week was causing me to tense up more than I thought.
