However, when I checked the Domino's site, I found that their items were easy to order and that they had an amazing special for carry out orders (likely to draw a customer base). Thus, I ordered our favorite topping combinations as well as an set of their garlic breadstick twists with their pizza sauce dip. The order was ready much quicker than I expected and had been waiting for us for a little bit (according to their online tracker) by the time we got there.
As Janelle was late coming home from work, Connor and I broke into and demolished the breadstick twists and dip as a "snack" once we got back home (Rowen wasn't up for trying it). I'm not sure if it was because we were so hungry, but Connor and I both agreed that it was one of the best things we have ever ordered from a pizza place before. After waiting another half hour, we decided to get into the pizzas themselves.
Connor loves the flavor of the crust and said that the chicken, bacon, and tomato with ranch sauce combination is now his favorite pizza here (his all-time favorite is from Hungry Howie's in Michigan--he made certain to remind me of that). Unfortunately, they mixed up our order on the Philly steak, green pepper, and onion on ranch sauce, adding mushrooms as well and thus making it inedible for three of the five people who live in our house. Sadly, the other two pizzas (bacon, black olive and pineapple and ham, bacon, and pineapple) were just as I remembered it from my youth: flimsy and dried out with a strange taste to the sauce and a lack of toppings.
Still, I could go for another box of those garlic breadstick twists and pizza dip. I regret not trying their cinnamon twists with apple and caramel dip. Maybe next time.
