We made our way to the theater just for the show time, but well before the actual feature started. Afterwards, Janelle, the boys, and I left directly for Rachel and Ryan's house to see John and Nancy McKnight while my mother and Katrina went back to my parents' place. There, I left Janelle and Rowen, but picked up my niece Ysa to see The Princess Bride. We stopped at my parents' place long enough to get a quick supper and pick up my mother again, but Katrina was nowhere to be found.
We met Alex and some of our friends--and some of their friends--at the theater. Again, we arrived right on the showtime, but had plenty of time due to previews and an introduction that was mistakenly shown twice. Unfortunately, we were not at the screen with the recliners, and my legs could definitely feel the difference. Still, it's been three decades since I saw The Princess Bride on the big screen, and it was certainly worth it--although I didn't expect them to charge full price.
I'm a little movied out at the moment, but my only regret for the day is the amount of popcorn that I ate--and the fact that I drank a bit of the soda I bought for the boys.
