As I mentioned in a recent post, one thing that I would like to do this summer is work my way through the movies that I own but that I have never watched on DVD. Many of them are movies that I have never seen at all. Some of them I’ve owned since we lived in Burr Oak. A couple I just bought this year. As I am not going to set up a summer movie marathon per se, I figured that I would just list the films and see what people’s thoughts are about them. For me, they fall into four categories:
The following are movies that I have never seen, but no one else here is really interested in watching (I will try to get through many of these while Janelle and the boys are gone next week): The Aviator, Ben-Hur, Constantine, Eye in the Sky, Kill Bill 1 and 2, The Last Duel, Lucky#Slevin, True Grit, and Underworld (5 movie series—I’ve seen the first two and enjoyed them).
These are movies that I have not seen that the boys are interested in watching but Janelle does not really care to see: Bad Boys Collection, Divergent trilogy, Blade Runner 2049, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Resident Evil (6 movie series), Snyder Cut of The Justice League, and Wonder Woman 1984.
This list contains movies that I have seen and would like the boys to watch: Beverly Hills Cop trilogy, Glory, The Monuments Men, The Patriot, Patriot Games, Quigley Down Under, Tombstone, Twister, and Wayne’s World 1 and 2.
Finally, these are movies that Janelle said that she would like to watch too: Annihilation, Cyrano, Dune (I’ve seen), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (We’ve seen), The Girl in the Spider’s Web, The Great Debaters, and the documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor?.
I think you can understand why I want to whittle down the pile.
