We've been working at getting the cabin up and ready to rent out. Currently, we plan to list it through Airbnb and will do day rentals through the summer. We still need to get a business licence and let our insurance know, but it's otherwise looking good (although writing that reminds me that we need to take some nice pictures too).
I still plan on e-publishing Dragon Hunter in the next month or so. The high school graphic design class created covers for the book as the main project this quarter. I haven't seen them yet, but I just received word that they are ready. I just need to do another polish of the book itself. I was planning to publish on Amazon first and then maybe branch out to a couple of other online sites.
I also still plan to be in Salt Lake City from June 1st through the 10th as a test reader for the AP World History test. I just received confirmation on my accommodations and have been in intermittent contact with my roommate (whom I met last year). We have been placed in the Grand America Hotel (as opposed to the Little America that I was in last year). I heard that it's the best one to be in.
I do not plan to start my Walden degree this summer as I will be gone more than I had originally intended. [This is where the buried lead comes out.] It turns out that I will be coming down to Michigan for a little bit before taking the rest of our stuff out of storage (i.e. my parents' house) and up to Alaska. Currently, it looks like I will be in Michigan at the end of June, probably through the Fourth of July weekend, before taking the road trip back to Alaska. It will just be me flying down, but I plan on taking Alex back up with me.
Considering that summer starts for me in just sixteen days (eleven days with students, but who's counting?), I should probably get planning.
