In hindsight, it was rather anticlimactic. A couple of my students did very well, some of my students did rather poorly (although I anticipated that when I gave extra incentive for them to take the test this year), but on average they did about the same as my students have for the past few years. No huge downturn, and (more disappointingly) no huge upturn either.
The breakdown doesn't get released for a few more weeks, and it won't be until then that I will get a better sense on what I need to improve (although my time in Salt Lake City gave me some ideas there already). My anticipation is not quite as high for this information as it was for the student scores, but it is there nonetheless. Knowing that I can do better has never been much of an incentive, but knowing how I can do better should certainly bring positive change.
