- Nchuzzrezar - a dwemer mansion - I haven't seen it (it costs a LOT of money to purchase) but is supposedly has an amazing library and specific displays for a number of quest items (something I wish my other home had)
- Armored Skeletons and The Walking Dead - I've only seen a few skeletons with the new look (which has been cool) and haven't yet run into the roaming packs, but this is a mod that needs to be late in the load order.
- Immersive Animations - Increases the number of animations (makes sneaking look much better in 3rd person perspective), just remember to put this one late in the load order.
- Immersive Armors - An amazing amount of new armors with some specific to main NPCs, giving them the distinctive look that fantasy characters of their renown deserve.
- Warmonger Armory - This did a nice job touching up the original armors and weapons.
- Windcallers Pass - haven't played this dungeon yet, but it sounds great.
- Grass Field - While the grass ends up in some odd places, this mod really makes the world come alive.
- Dragon Priest Mask Quest Markers - This isn't a listed quest in the original game, but it has it is supposed to have its own rewards. Now I can track down the masks.
- Run For Your Lives - Keeps villagers from running and attacking dragons with their fists.
- Stones of Barenziah Quest Markers - There are 24 of these gems. I am glad someone put the locations on the map so I can finally finish this quest.
- When Vampires Attack - Like "Run for Your Lives" but deals with vampire attacks from the Dawnguard DLC. I'm looking forward to this mod as villager deaths during vampire attacks were a real headache when I played the DLC.
- Beards - The title pretty much sums it up. Despite some website suggestions, I've found the high res version to be much better than the normal res (especially after putting other high res textures in the game).
- Superior Lore-friendly Hair - HD textures - like the beards, this a necessary addition as the hair just didn't fit with the other HD textures. There are plenty of wild hair style mods out there; this one fit in best with the original feel of the game.
- Enhanced Lights and FX - (plus the Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and SMIM Meshes additions) - WOW! More than anything else, this changes the look of the game making lighting effects much more realistic. It certainly makes torches (or wearable lanterns) and magic lighting a must for dungeon exploration.
- Wearable Lanterns - A must after installing a realistic lighting mod. I actually like the extra level of immersion in needing to keep track of the oil (or pollen) being used (the default is to not have that option activated so you don't need to worry about it if you don't want to). The only downside is that I use a controller, so activating and deactivating the lantern means equiping and unequiping it, but that's a small price to pay.
- Immersive Patrols - I have not yet seen the impact of this yet, but it's supposed to make the world between the main cities more alive with people and encounters. [edit - I have since seen some amazing encounters due to this mod, including a small-scale battle between over 30 Stormcloak and Imperial soldiers (where I stayed out of it while looting corpses) and a pack of at least seven wolves chasing down an elk. Truly, these were immersive patrols.]
I'm going to leave off the list here for now, as it is getting late and writing about this is taking more time than I anticipated. As a guess, this will take two or three more posts.
