We received a good amount of snow Sunday morning. I then made a tactical error. We had a rather busy day planned out for us, and I figured that the weather would stay warm enough (or warm up enough soon) that I did not need to shovel the few inches that filled our driveway.
That snow, especially the tracks made by our vehicles as we went on our various voyages, froze solid. Quite likely, based on how the weather is looking, it will now be the bottom layer of all precipitation that we receive until break up. Last year, I had promised myself that I would do better on this front this time around, and I already screwed that up.
The only good news is that the holes in our dirt driveway have already gotten smoother. While I love snow and winter weather, I am concerned that I might again slide off the toboggan run of a driveway that we have. At least we answered the question about whether or not we should put the studded tires back on the van.
