Unfortunately, due to delayed and then canceled flights, we didn’t get back home until after midnight. In truth, we made much better time than I could have hoped for. The roads were mostly dry, and the weather was mostly clear. There were definitely pothole issues between Cooper Landing and Sterling, but the major construction near Girdwood (which halts traffic for at least half an hour) was nonexistent.
Still, considering my lack of sleep from Saturday night, I was really relying on coffee and conversation to keep me going during our drive. Now, with only a bit over four hours of sleep last night, I can feel every ounce of my eyeballs. For this reason, I am writing this post on the app on my phone during Connor’s Scout meeting rather than waiting until I have a full-size keyboard under my fingers at home.
I certainly hope I sleep well tonight.
