But positivity breeds more positivity. I don't mean the crazed happiness that some people effect or the fake happiness enforced by commercial businesses, but genuine gladness at seeing people and wanting to help them. It is important to look people in the eyes and tell them, quite sincerely, that you are happy to see them. The words and effort make it true.
I was reminded by a sign at my son's school that it is important to go out of our way to say something positive to people every day. As teachers, we need to share these positive comments with both our students and our fellow teachers and staff. We are all in this together. We all want our students to have a glorious future; that's why we do what we do.
