Today's Gospel has Thomas doubting that Jesus had risen from the dead. He needed to touch Jesus' wounds to believe. Our priest today said that we come to believe when Jesus touches our wounds as well.
So many of us are wounded in ways that cannot be seen. For some of us, these wounds have become old companions, to the point that we don't know who we would be without them. Perhaps we are afraid of the changes that being healed might bring. We need to learn to trust that Jesus' cures are more precise than the greatest surgeon. He can change us from who we are to who we are meant to be.
