I've replaced toilet seats and the innards of toilet tanks before, but this was my first time replacing the entire thing. Honestly, I found it a little less difficult, although heavier, than just replacing the internal mechanisms. It seems that toilets now are set up to be installed rather easily, not even needing any tools except for when removing the old toilet. It also helped that Janelle had helped her brother, John, replace the toilets at our last place before we moved.
It was a good thing that Janelle insisted that we do this as the wax seal for our master bathroom's toilet was not in good shape. I'm glad that we got this done as it has been on the list since before we moved in. The downside is that the seats, although slam-proof, are not very comfortable. The upside is that we now have better toilets that aren't cobbled from various toilet parts and there don't appear to be any leaks.
Now I just have to get rid of the old toilets.
