Again, none of our hurdlers were harmed in the meet, and we had some respectable times. I spent most of the meet at one of the long jump pits watching to see how things were done and occasionally taking the rake to the sand (and was even awarded a piece of great pizza as a thank you). Although the meet made for a long day, I feel it was all time well spent.
The only sour note on the day is that I seem to have twisted my ankle a bit. It happened earlier during the school day as I was walking down a flight of stairs. It had been slightly sore for something I did earlier in the week, but I somehow stepped down wrong and have had an increasing pain there ever since. However, as has been noted before, I am quite a wimp when it comes to pain, so there's a good chance that I am overblowing the injury.
Still, today goes in the "good day" column.
