Chloe said that she had a great time. Her only point of concern was when several people told her, "Hey, look! Your host father is dancing!" At that point, she felt the need to hide. To be clear, I only danced for a few seconds as I was crossing the dance floor, and a little bit when the kids were jumping with fists raised to a song with a heavy beat, and later when I was doing my West Side Story impression as it looked like some girls were lining up for a fight (which they almost did).
I enjoyed this dance. Aside from the above mentioned almost-fight, and my having to deal with two separate instances of groups of kids trying to sneak into the dance through the locker room entrance, it was pretty low-key. The kids were largely having fun, even if the girls significantly outnumbered the boys. Most importantly, although it was still louder than I would like, the music was not deafening (seriously, some of these dances are giving anyone involved hearing damage).
Now, I need to go to bed. Thankfully, this is my last night sleeping alone (for a while, anyway). Sure, I've had the bed to myself, but I certainly miss having my wife here with me.
