He had one tumble where he ended up face first in a gravel driveway. He just laid there as I ran to get up to him (I was in the back of the pack and he had taken off; thus the fall). A couple of the little girls around him helped him up, but he was more embarrassed than injured; although, he did get a scraped knee.
We went to the Haunted Halls at SoPrep. I feel that the Student Council group did another good job, perhaps even creepier than last year. It was hard to tell as Connor and his friend put on full cynicism ("You're not scary. You should give us candy."). Meanwhile, Rowen turtled his head into the body box of his costume, so I had to lead him blindly through. Several of my students broke character when seeing me, even when I made sure to scream on cue.
It was cold and windy, so I was fine staying at our friends' house when Rowen decided he had enough with trick-or-treating. I'm glad I did as Janelle and Connor were out for another hour and a half. Meanwhile, I handed out candy at the door. Several of my students said things like, "So now I know where you live!" To which I responded, "Yes! Yes! This is where I live! Remember that this is my house any time you are upset with me!"
All-in-all, it was an enjoyable evening.
