Already, the Pilot has collision detection, lane assistance, and advanced cruise control (which detects vehicles ahead of you and changes speed to still give proper space). While many of those are considered optional features now, I do not think it will be long that they (like seat belts, airbags, and now rear view cameras) will become part of nearly every car package. I can certainly see insurance companies putting on more of a push to promote driverless (or at least computer assisted) cars.
Now, if only my flying car would be available by then ...
