Whew. Now I need a nap.
All told, it's been a good day even if I do not yet have the energy to match with the plans that my mind tries to formulate. Instead, I've spent a lot of time sitting and staring ... and thinking ... and planning ... and more sitting. Occasionally, I've woken up. For a few moments, I'll have a flurry of activity and then ... sitting and staring ...
A host of new jobs opened up on the KPBSD website today. Unfortunately, I am not qualified for any of them. The closest is a high school position 45 minutes away from home in social studies/language arts/Spanish. Unfortunately, no habla Espanol, let alone do I have a teaching endorsement in it. However, if these are opening now, before the state budget is finalized, perhaps more will be up in the future.
I'm sure stress isn't as bad for me as they say it is ...
It was good to be back in school after the prolonged illness. The students seemed genuinely happy to have me there, and I was able to straighten up my plans for this quirky week (early release day and two days of testing). It's hard to believe we only have 17 days left with students. It all goes by so fast.
