Today, we got a real mattress for Trevor, although it's more for John McKnight IV's belabored back. As they often sell to people who need to fly out to the bush (and thus space is at a premium), the mattress was wrapped in an amazingly compact form. We also took out our recycling and trash in preparation for the family's arrival in three days.
Speaking of whom, they didn't get to their hotel until about midnight here (2am local time, and 4am Eastern). It was a long day, but today's journey got them to their hotel at a much more reasonable time (if still after dark). It sounds like the trip has been hard on them and their nerves, but they are already liking the sights.
Meanwhile, our carpets are cleaned and a good deal of furniture disappeared today. Tomorrow, the basement floors get a much needed cleaning and most of the remaining trash will be hauled away. This has been an amazing task and I am deeply thankful for all those who have helped, are continuing to help, or both.
