Ranger, our cat for over 17 years, passed away.
We had a great Halloween that included our trip through the (hopefully) first annual "Haunted Hallways" of Soldotna Prep School. Honestly, there are so many amazing events going on in this community during this time of year, it is hard to choose which to go to.
I've read the first three books in the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. I didn't really care for the first one, but other people's enthusiasm for the series carried me on. It has been worth my time.
I finally beat Ratchet & Clank: All for One after at least four different starts and at least as many years.
I injured my back in way that has taken longer to recover than earlier injuries of a similar nature. This led me to start seeing a chiropractor for the first time in several decades.
Parent/teacher conferences had a smaller than expected showing, but still was full of positive experiences.
We had our first snowfall of the season.
I quit playing Overwatch (despite that itch still wanting to be scratched).
We received our first Permanent Fund Dividend in decades.
We bought tickets for us to go to Michigan for Katrina and Peter's wedding (even if all of us won't be on all of the same flights coming back).
The boys went to their first Cub Scout meetings (and I have been asked to be one of the Den Leaders).
We have watched (and mostly enjoyed) a variety of movies that we had not seen before (the first five Fast and Furious movies, the newest Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and Baby Driver). We also introduced the boys to Men in Black I and II.
Janelle has become a sourdough baking angel; although I really need to exercise more if I'm going to keep indulging.
There are certainly more, but that is all that I've got off the top of my head. I wonder what November has in store?
