I started it with a low fever that led to a wave of exhaustion that slowed me down for longer than I would have liked.
All of my friends who were running for local office won their elections. Even better, the bonds for our district’s school improvement and our central emergency services both passed. On top of that, the Soldotna Field House was finally approved.
We successfully hosted a D&D session at our house; although, I think it was Grizz who really stole the show.
We saw our first snowfall of the season on the 11th. It was a harbinger of things to come.
We finished watching (and enjoying) She-Hulk. Haters are going to hate; however, I really enjoyed the show—even if the end was a little too heavy-handed (even for a Hulk show).
My knowledge on THAC0 was called to use, even if it was just to explain how awkward that system was.
Janelle and I had a date night at the Octoberfest dinner and auction at our church.
I finally managed to finish The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its expansions.
I was reminded of just how blessed and precious my life truly is.
My quest to fix the broken trailer we were given was completed, and I finally set an appointment for Scarlet (my ATV with the plow attachment) to be fixed—that appointment is still a week away.
Precisely two weeks after the first substantial snowflakes appeared, the first substantial snowfall started its accumulation. This would lead to the first snow day for our school due to actual snow that anyone can remember.
The fall parent/teacher conferences were successful once again.
Our church’s Halloween Carnival returned after missing the last two years. The boys still seemed to enjoy it.
I did not chaperone the Halloween dance at the school, but Connor went and had a fun time—even if he broke his glasses again in the process.
I ended the month dressed in an old-school Star Trek science officer uniform with Vulcan ears and a tiny communicator.
Meanwhile, November is already proving to be another interesting month.
