Today was a strange day since we had to be at East High School in Anchorage while their school was still in session. This meant that events were more spread out. My team only had two performances of their Readers Theater to deal with. Even though they were crammed into the tiny practice room (and worst performance area of this available) for both presentations, I feel that they did quite well compared to the others that we saw, which was quite a few since we had to stay in the auditorium for most of the time when we weren’t performing.
Despite my team only having two performances, I was really limited in what my team could do since I did not have my own vehicle up here. I’m so grateful for the help of the Homer coach and her parent volunteers. Without them, we would have been in a much more difficult position.
The one real frustration has been my arm which did not let me sleep well last night and has been a consistent pain through the day. I’m hoping that the ibuprofen I finally managed to get will help me sleep better tonight. I really am a baby when it comes to pain.
Tomorrow is even busier with a night on a classroom floor (well, above, as I brought a cot) at the end of it. I should probably tuck in soon.
