Recently, I put together the ATV trailer that Janelle bought for Scarlet (my ATV) this winter. It was a frustrating experience that required that I purchase tools that were not part of any tool set that I had (such as an extension on my larger ratchet) as well as a smaller ball hitch. Despite my frustrations, and concerns, it seems to be working fairly well.
Between downpours today, I took it out for a proof of concept experiment. I drove Scarlet with her trailer out into the more wooded area of our yard and, with Connor's help, loaded up the massive pieces of a tree that we did not bother moving last year. One of the pieces was too heavy for me and Connor to carry. However, even weighed down, both Scarlet and her trailer made it back out without an issue (although, I do need to work on backing up with the trailer attached).
This is good news as many of the trees that I need to cut down are at the farther edges of our property. I am quite grateful that we would have to carry the pieces that distance. As is, I wore myself out today.
