Meanwhile, today was the seniors' last day at the high school. Although a couple of graduates are friends of the family, I don't know this graduating class all that well. I simply didn't have many of them as students. This was made quite clear to me during today's awards assembly as I only knew a handful of the students who earned awards, and had only directly taught three of them. Of the graduating classes since I started teaching at SoHi, I am the least connected to this one, but it was still sad to see them go.
On top of that, the newest Legend of Zelda game came available (through early download) just over an hour ago. It looks massive, intricate, and wonderful. Connor made first claim on it, but Janelle, Rowen, and I watched his first half hour or so of gameplay. It's a good thing that summer break is just over a week away.
Finally, I was overheated enough after school today that I decided to start wearing shorts in the evenings again. The colder than normal spring has delayed this transition by a few weeks. Sure, I don't think that I will wear them to this weekend's borough track meet in Homer, but I feel so much better wearing them now.
