Also like last year, I put my plow to use (I purchased Scarlet just about a year ago), clearing away the several inches of snow that had accumulated these past couple of days. I only got seriously stuck twice ("seriously stuck" means that I had do a lot of pushing, pulling, and maneuvering to get Scarlet back on the driveway). Having learned my lesson from last year, I pushed the snow back as far as I could--sometimes too far (see pervious sentence about getting seriously stuck twice).
Sadly, I then attended a funeral as cantor. At this point, I have sung at more funerals this year than all previous years combined. I will let that fact just stand on its own.
Later, Janelle and I extended our Black Friday shopping by heading over to Saddlers and picking up a new couch. Janelle wants to final dispose of the love seat that a friend gave us our first year up here and rearrange our living room a bit. I wanted to use this opportunity to get a more comfortable couch than the two that I got from Michigan a bit over five years ago. There are only so many ways that we can arrange our living room, so we will have to see how this changes things. The new sofa should arrive a week from tomorrow.
I also finally got around to picking out songs for this coming Sunday and practicing them on my guitar. Add to that our watching of the finally of this season of The Great British Bake-Off and the fourth episode of the new Wheel of Time series, and it's been a full day. I still have to hang the lights, but I think that will wait until tomorrow.
