A number of students took the extra step of decorating their faces with false mustaches and goatees. Some of them even kept them on throughout the school day. I was particularly impressed that some of the girls committed to that level of dedication to their costume. Meanwhile, several of the students made some sort of leg pouch (in one case, out of black duct tape) in imitation of my wallet holster. One student went so far as to carry around a set of D&D dice, a copy of my Dragon Hunter novel, and a name tag that he made for himself in welding that says "Paul" with "Dr." faintly scratched in above it.
Nearly all of my AP World students stepped up to the challenge. They even joined me in wishing people a "Happy Friday" in the hallway before class. I made certain to get pictures this time. In case you can't tell, I'm the one wearing purple.
