Unfortunately, two problems (not counting an overall lack of time) tend to stop me from playing them. One is that they are extensive games, many of them being open world. Time factor aside, this means keeping a lot of story and gameplay elements fresh in my head as I play through them. Without devoting a large amount of time to playing them, I would easily lose track of where I am (to be fair, that will happen in the Metal Gear games anyway; I barely remember what happened in 3 and only remember 2 because of how much I hated Raiden).
The second problem is that most of them are mature rated with content that I would prefer not to play around Rowen in particular. This reduces my play time to when they are in bed which either means short gaming or short sleeping sessions for me. Now, truly great games are worth losing sleep over, but none of these have quite hooked me enough at this point.
Now that I think about it, a third problem is that Overwatch does not suffer the above two problems and is just so addictive. I do not doubt that I would have made more progress in at least some of these other games had I never gotten hooked on Overwatch.
Of course, some would argue that I should use my down time in more productive ways. Perhaps there is some truth in that. However, I'm not yet old enough to give up on video games.
