It was a busy day for me overall. Connor and I left school soon after it got out so that I could go home, pick up Trevor, and come back into town for Trevor and Connor's orthodontist appointment. From there, I dropped Connor back at the school for open gym basketball, and then parked at Freddy's to swap Mera (my Prius) with Navi (Janelle's Pilot). Trevor and I then returned home and attached the trailer to our Navi. We had already loaded up Scarlet (my ATV) and secured her to the trailer (which I had repaired several weeks ago) a couple of days before in preparation for this.
At this point, we drove Navi to the Honda service center in town. Our hope is that they will be able to revive Scarlet--who has been out of commission since December 7th of last year--for a reasonable cost. I was heartened by the service technician saying that it could be a very minor issue--that would be nice. However, I forgot Scarlet's key. After leaving Scarlet there, we returned home, unhooked the trailer, and got the key.
Janelle arrived home at this time, so we swapped vehicles again. She took Trevor with her to go vote (in Sterling), and I headed back into town again. I dropped off the key and headed over to the school to pick up Connor. From there, I then drove to Sterling so that I could vote (Connor tagged along and napped rather than having me drop him off at the house on the way there). By the time I arrived home, it was fully dark, and I was quite tired--but with a feeling of accomplishment.
