Katrina and Peter came up to visit! Sadly those weeks passed by all too quickly. Still, it was great to have them up for the time that we could. Hopefully, they saw enough that the want to come back (soon and often). Janelle and I certainly enjoyed have all of our children (plus tagalong Peter) with us again.
With them up here, I got to take my first trip to Seward. There is still more that I want to do there, but I greatly enjoyed the glacier hike that we took.
Although the weather cooperated with us for the most part while they were here, both Peter and Katrina missed an amazing (and record-setting) couple of weeks of pleasant weather. I have learned that the mid seventies is about as warm as I want it to be.
It has been back to school time for my sons, for my job, and for me as a student as August had my first class for my doctoral degree.
Connor had several birthday parties due to when his birthday fell and when people were in and out of town.
I became addicted to Overwatch.
We also had our first face-to-face D&D game in Soldotna. I dusted off the old Pool of Radiance campaign and we hit the slums. As we are playing with neophytes, I look forward to introducing them to all of the D&D staples (maybe even a dungeon, or better yet: a dragon).
