I paced out (so it’s not exact) a seven foot perimeter from each corner and midpoint of our small fire pit. We then went to work on removing the sod from the area (after mowing it). The process took about four hours. Connor was my main helper; although Trevor and Rowen came out at the end.
A robin stayed extremely close to us, enjoying the feast that we were uncovering. I only had one black fly bite, but a great deal of credit goes to Cutter Skinsations bug spray. On a side note, the spray must smell good because Janelle has commented on how good I smell now twice after I have applied it (I thought it might have been my camp deodorant, so I stocked up on that too. ... It’s the bug spray).
I’m beat. I think I might be sore tomorrow. It’s a good thing that I’m not needed for jury duty and that I have a movie marathon planned.
