Still, it was fun to once again yell from the bleachers, cheering on Connor and the other students whom I recognized. Sadly, Connor only ran in one race (the 100m, which has not been a strong race for him) as he didn't get to run in the 4 X 400m relay--the 400m has been his most competitive race to run in previous years. He still made a good showing, coming in a close second for his heat and earning a new personal record.
It looks like the weather will be better for the meet this coming weekend, but it's still quite a bit colder than normal for this time of year. Even though I like the cold, I'd rather it was warmer while I'm sitting in the stands. I'm sure that the athletes would appreciate more moderate temperatures as well.
