I've been sitting on this news for a while, and I've been about ready to burst. Katrina and Peter are looking forward to the arrival of their first child this January. Janelle and I are overflowing with joy.
I know that a lot of men are not eager to become a grandpa. I know that many have concerns about feeling old. I simply do not feel that. Instead, I am full of eager expectation. I cannot wait to meet my grandchild.
The biggest issue is the distance between us. While we will do everything to make certain that Janelle is with Katrina (and I suppose Peter too) when the baby is due, it's considerably less certain when the boys and I will be able to meet the newest member to our family. I am know that we will work something out.
