I came up with an entirely new dance when I discovered that my blood sugar is finally in the normal range. While I started a new medicine last week, I believe that yesterday's crossfit workout also helped bring it down. With the help of my wonderful wife, Janelle, I've also managed to make a significant cut to my carb intake.
I probably needed some of those carbs as I successfully replaced the most inconveniently placed smoke detector I have personally encountered. This required me to practice overcoming my rather well-developed fear of heights as I had to extend my ladder all the way to get to said detector. Thankfully, I had Trevor on hand to completely ignore my plight while he played Minecraft.
Trevor was also blissfully unaware as I filled out the paperwork for the new realtor. There are many things that I like about this realtor, but if I had any doubts, they were blown away when I read her write-up for the house. It is amazingly better than the previous realtor's (even after I had our previous realtor do a couple of rewrites and even sent her both my and my sister Katie's write-ups ... which were ignored). Considering that she has a professional photographer coming in to do the pictures this Friday, my optimism for selling the house is at dangerously high levels. [I will post a link to listing once its available next Monday.]
Still, the best piece of my day was that my new glasses arrived. While the prescription is the same (the old frames were getting rather worn), the larger lenses really make a difference on my field of clear vision. They have also given me the temporary feeling of being taller than I actually am. I know that the effect will pass in a day or two, but for the time being, it's nice to feel like I'm a giant.
