I managed to get most of the lights up today. I was slowed down because I had forgotten that I had thrown out a couple of strands last year and needed to replace them. This also meant that I needed to adjust my lighting strategy to at least keep the rooms in the same light colors (the new strands have purple lights--which I prefer--instead of orange). With the new purple lights, the living room looks fantastic!
Rowen wants me to hang lights around his room that he can turn on and off with a remote switch. We have a similar setup in the guest room and the pantry room which Connor has now claimed as his own. Rowen's room, however, is quite a bit bigger and will require me to install a lot of cup hooks. My arms got tired just as I was thinking about it, but I think that I will tackle that project tomorrow anyway.
Otherwise, the last lit decoration is the tree. As we have still not figured out how we want to rearrange the living room, we don't know for certain where the tree will go. Once we finally get the tree up, this place will be pretty lit.
