I'm a little concerned about it getting turned into a TV series. The same writer is involved, so that's a good sign. I'm nearly certain that the show would only partially follow the story of the game. Casting Pedro Pascal (whom I love) already indicates a shift in some of the aspects of the story. It's also not much of a stretch for Pascal, who will again find himself playing a man with a dark past who is escorting a special child (in this case a teenage girl) to where the child is supposed to belong.
Nor am I thrilled with watching another zombie horror show. Even though I think that The Last of Us is one of the best zombacylpse stories made, especially with its more hopeful message (at least, in the original game), I'm not eager to sit through jump scares. Sure, they happen in the game, but there's usually some element (even if it is a false feeling) of control over the events.
Still, especially if it gets good reviews, I think that I will want to watch it at some point--if only to see how it compares.
