While Connor was not able to repeat his dominate standing in the Eskimo stick pull (getting fifth this time instead of first), he had an amazing scissor broad jump that broke the event’s record and gave him a first place (neither boy had tried this event last time). Rowen was not as successful, falling early on the wrist carry due to an unfortunate twist (he had first place last time). Thankfully, both boys have been in high spirits, looking forward to swimming in the pool at our hotel later (tomorrow morning).
Tomorrow, Rowen only has two events (Indian stick pull and the arm pull) while Connor is in all five (which includes the Alaskan high kick, one foot high kick, and seal hop). Considering they plan to swim first in the morning, I’m betting that the ride home tomorrow evening will be pretty quiet.
