Thus, when we were told about Sandler’s Labor Day celebration, we took the opportunity to look for a new dining room set. Now, technically, we were looking for a reading chair for our bedroom to replace the uncomfortable one that Satin had claimed as her own. However, after sitting in the chairs of one set in particular, we decided to get the new table as well.
With both leaves on (not shown) the table can comfortably seat ten people—twelve if they like each other. The chairs are wider than normal and have back cushions, making them quite comfortable. The only downside is the inlay in the table; its crumb-catching feature has pushed Janelle into investing in table cloths.
The reading chair is also comfortable. It rocks, swivels, has a leg rest, and reclines. Connor says that he will be spending a lot more time in our room now.
I should also note that the picture of the table includes a glimpse of our new French daughter, Chloe. She likes the furniture too.
