While it currently looks like Alex will be coming up with me on my trek up in July and then staying for a while, Katrina's original plans to stay the summer with us have been abbreviated to perhaps a week or two in August. Still, I'm glad that we will get a chance to see the two of them, and in the relatively near future.
Janelle, in particular, has had a difficult time adjusting to a boy-filled home. While she has my sympathies, there is a part of me who is glad that the tables have turned. Until Trevor was born, I was greatly outnumbered gender-wise in my house. Even most of our pets have been female. Now things are quite the opposite with only Janelle and our cat Satin representing the fairer sex. When the girls come up, things will be a little better balanced for at least a little while.
I don't want to wish any of my summer to go by faster, but I certainly look forward to seeing them.
