By far, our favorite puzzles are Thomas Kinkade paintings. Sure, we've done some Star Wars puzzles (which used to be my favorite) and a variety of other types, but Kinkade's artwork is the most soothing to build. We search the puzzle section of Freddy's every week to see if any new ones come out. Thus, we have quite a stack to work through at present.
There has been one major frustration: we have managed to lose a puzzle piece for nearly every puzzle that we've put together. Should a piece hit the ground face down, it blends in almost perfectly with the carpet (I found one yesterday only when doing my push-ups with my face directly above it). Should we not find them soon enough, our dogs assume that the puzzle pieces are some sort of people food that has dropped. At least, that's the theory as we have yet to catch one of them in the act.
The other danger is that I can lose time quite quickly as I'm mesmerized by the process of putting the picture together. I've had to set regular alarms to make certain I don't miss picking up the boys or getting meals ready. If I foolishly look at the puzzle before going to bed, I end up getting significantly less sleep.
Speaking of, I need to consciously avoid the puzzle table as I head to bed tonight.
