I invested in some exercise equipment at home and have been working out here, but the timing is difficult. I can't do it before I pick up the boys, especially if I have anything that holds me after school. I try to work out right after picking them up (getting home at about 4:15), but I run into difficulties on days when I still need to get dinner done and leave by 5:45 to get the boys somewhere (like Youth Faith Formation or Cub Scouts--although I have until 6:15 for the latter). If Trevor is in some sort of play practice where I need to pick him up at 4:30 or 5, then I have no chance at all. If I have the energy and motivation, I sometimes try to get in a workout by the time we get back (7:30 or 8), but I often just don't
Soon, the boys will have events on Monday as well as Tuesday and Wednesday, taking out another workout day. It's so easy to find excuses not to work out to begin with. I'm concerned that this might lead me back to bad habits that bring back health problems I've had some success at curbing.
I'll figure something out.
