After dinner, I took a hike up to the Utah State Capitol building. It's an impressive building both inside and out. I have a nice shot of it facing north, seven pictures from inside the dome, and a panoramic shot of it facing south including its House and Senate buildings.
I then took a hike from there up to Ensign Peak (the place from where Brigham Young surveyed the valley and came up with his original plan for the city). I have two pictures looking down from about halfway up. A couple of pictures of flowers for Janelle's benefit. And quite a few pictures up from the peak itself. The last two are of zoomed in shots of the capitol and Temple Square. It's an impressive view.
Thankfully, the walk coming down was definitely more pleasant than the walk going up. I'm a bit burned and my blisters have returned; however, my roommate has requested that I not post pictures of them on social media (they don't have faces this time anyway).
Tomorrow will determine if we have a light day on Thursday or a panicked one. Things are looking more like the former rather than the latter. I just need to rest up so I'm ready for it.
