The theatrical cut of the Justice League movie has taken a lot of the blame, but honestly, I liked it better than either Man of Steel or Batman V Superman. However, some fans have noted that the Batman V Superman was, like The Justice League, the victim of studio executive mishandling and the Zach Snyder's true vision makes these movies much better. In the case of The Justice League, HBO has recently revealed the massive "Snyder cut" which fans say makes the movie tremendously better (and non-fans say just makes an intolerable movie even longer).
Well, my curiosity has been peaked. Even though I kind of liked the "Whedon cut" of Justice League, I am interested to see what Snyder would has done with the film in bringing it in line with his original vision. Before I do so, I need to see his original vision of Batman V Superman as well. His 3-hour ultimate edition is supposed to make what was a garbage heap in the theater a much better film. With that in mind, I ordered a copy and plan to suffer through it (or possibly enjoy it) on some upcoming weekend. Before that, I plan to watch Kevin Costner get sucked up by a tornado for no logical reason.
I really want to like them this time.
