Due to the temperatures hovering around the freezing mark, our driveway has become a rather bumpy skating rink. The smoothest patches of ice are under our vehicles. They cover the ice from added snowfall and warm the ice enough to melt it. Those melted patches then refreeze into a smoother surface. Today, after returning from school and before I got home, Connor saw the smooth patch which was made by my car and told Rowen, "Let's play hockey!" The two of them found a couple of longer sticks and used them to push a rock back and forth.
When getting ready for bed tonight, both of the younger boys took off their pajama tops and started exercising in the living space. This quickly devolved into jumping on, off, and over the furniture. When Janelle told them to put their pajamas back on, Connor complained about being too hot. In response, Janelle said that she was feeling warm and asked if she should take her shirt off if that's the rule. Connor quickly put his shirt back on. Trevor made a sound that suggested he did not approve of Janelle's line of thinking and might be seeking future therapy due to the conversation.
