It helps that I like my house itself. My bedroom is spacious; my office (though small) meets my needs; our dining room is well-suited for meals, games, and television; and my living room is one of my all-time favorite places to be. Certainly, there are things that could use improvement, but it's a very pleasant place to spend my time. When our nearly four acres are added in, we have quite an ideal location for this sort of situation.
Granted, I need to spend any extra home time that I am given working on my doctoral study, so this won't be all fun and games. Still, there could be worse things than being stuck at home.
