It wasn't until this evening's drive home that I could see that the snowstorm, although not enough to stay on the ground at our elevation, had blanketed the Kenai Mountains to our east. As normal, I am in awe. The sight of snow almost always manages to lift my spirits, filling me with the wonder of my childhood.
Now, although I think this snow was late in arriving this year (there had been a flake or two before), I'm also fine with having a few more weeks of fall before curling under a blanket of winter.
