Trevor has also been filling out his college information, FAFSA, financial aid, college visitation, etc. This has really brought home the fact that he won't be around much next year. While that means that I won't have to taxi him around to his various practices and events (since he still doesn't want to get a licence), it also means that I won't have him around to help either.
Meanwhile, Connor just had his first Boy Scout (not Cub Scout) meeting. He "crosses over" at the end of February. This will also change our weekly schedule. Without Trevor next year, it will mean that Rowen will be tagging along with me while I take Connor to scouting meetings and events (unless Janelle happens to not work).
I find that I have been adapting slower to change in my middle age. Looking into our lives later this year suggests that quite a few things are going to require some of that adaptation on my part. Hopefully, everything will run more smoothly than I anticipate.
