I saw Puss in Boots: The Last Wish for the first time yesterday and deeply enjoyed it. I would recommend it for nearly everyone; although, the wolf character is still haunting me a bit.
It turns out that the Re-Trump-Again's "whistleblower" on the Bidens had already been indicted as a Chinese spy and is currently at large, having skipped bail in April. Meanwhile, Trump is trying to put off all of his current trials until after the 2024 election on the same day that the DOJ said that it will no longer defend him in the civil defamation suit that he is facing. Also, multiple Re-Trump-Agains called for the disbanding of NATO (something Trump has also touted). There are truly "Republicans" in-name-only.
We have a sunny forecast for the next several days. However, my close call this past winter has made me hesitant to take down any more trees myself. I still have plenty of clean-up to do from the past year, but I'm not sure what to do about all the standing deadwood.
I have The Book of Boba Fett marathon coming up this Friday.
It's ridiculously difficult to get a group together to play D&D during the summer.
Tears of the Kingdom is absolutely amazing!
A person on my Facebook friends list died of a sudden heart attack today. Her husband posted the news. She was someone who I have on my friends list, but I don't remember how; although, she had just turned my age and we have a few mutual friends who all went to Northwest High School with me (but she lists a different school). She would frequently "like" my posts, and I sent her a "Happy Birthday!" just ten days ago. That same day, she had posted a thank you for the well-wishing and the words: "I had a great day and will love every day of the last year of my forties! I will learn to slow down and think in the here and now and not just for the next day, next week or next month. I’m really going to try to stop wishing my days away!" I have been disturbed by that since I learned of her death.
