When Trevor's manager found out that today was his birthday, he arranged the schedule so that Trevor did not have to go in to work. Despite it being on a Tuesday, we lifted our normal "Oasis Day" restrictions for him and his brothers. That way, he could enjoy his time off more, especially since the rest of us were working or in school for much of the day. He spent most of the morning playing Dungeons and Dragons with his online friends.
Even with full access to their electronics, the boys and I still spent about an hour outside sledding. The weather has made our sled runs particularly fast while still being warm enough so that we can stay out for long sections of time. We used both hills, with the fast hill running particularly fast even with the brush and brambles not completely covered.
For dinner, Trevor requested his favorite meal: shepherd's pie. Of course, a chocolate ice cream cake was the necessary celebratory dessert. For dinner and afterwards, we watched Bumblebee--even though The Fellowship of the Ring was Trevor's first choice. I think that I enjoyed the movie even more this second time watching it.
Right now, he's playing his new Switch game--Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. I think that the boys are all glad he got that gift. It took a bit of convincing to get Rowen to stop watching and go to bed.
All-in-all, I think that Trevor had a good birthday.
