It looks like we have a heat bubble hitting us this weekend, with temperatures in the high eighties by Monday (which will make the first day of Rowen's camp interesting). As a consequence, most local stores are entirely out of fans (the few air conditioning units disappeared even earlier). I'm grateful for the fans that we do have, but there's only so much that they can do.
I appreciate those who suffered through the rising temperatures in my living room today during the movie marathon. With the fans on so high, I had the volume turned up to a greater degree than usual which makes for an impressive rumble with my subwoofer. I think this is why I didn't notice today's earthquake even though a couple of my guests did.
It looks like cooler temperatures are in the long term forecast. Unfortunately, I'm still not seeing any predictions for rain.
