Rowen was particularly happy getting his Jake the Pirate hideout and game (which we played several times). Connor finally got the skateboard (with knee and elbow pads - he already had wrist guards and a helmet) that he has been begging for since last year. He even took it outside today (for five minutes before complaining that it was too cold). Trevor was most interested in his Starcraft Risk game (of which we only played one round and a half before Connor and I quit). Katrina was wearing her sweater soon after unwrapping it, and Alex put on the headphones to play on her computer soon after.
I screwed up with Janelle's present, getting a nearly identical teapot for her that Alex had purchased (and possibly even shown to me) earlier. Janelle is going to shop a bit for a set of pajamas that will be my belated gift.
I spent much of the first part of the day helping my sons put together and play with their toys and games. I even got in a little bit of video game time with the game Alex got for me: Transistor. After dinner at my parents' house, we went to the Nite-lights event at the Jackson Fairgrounds and later watched How To Train Your Dragon 2 with my parents and brother.
It was another good, if busy day.
