The weather for Connor’s concert was still warm, but better than Rowen’s. I also was not as isolated this time as, not only did people whom I know sit next to me, a couple of Rowen’s classmates came up to sit next to us. They were a little squirmy—and Rowen kept bumping my arm as I was taking video—but were otherwise well behaved.
Connor seemed rather lonely on stage. It turns out that his three friends from class did not show up. However, the space around him filled when they started singing (he was on the far left of the stage). Connor is also really proud of the shirt he wore today as he picked it out specifically for the concert.
The choir had to repeat one of its songs as the teacher did not give the microphone to the first soloist the first time. I’m glad that the young girl got her chance to have the audience hear her. Still, I was over-warm and ready to go by the time the concert was over.
In the meantime, Janelle is still at Trevor’s concert which was also running tonight, and I just finished practicing music for the children’s Christmas mass. It is beginning to sound a lot like Christmas ...
